雪うさぎ (Yuki usagi) painted by using Gansai (Japanese watercolors).
Yuki usagi literally means a snow hare. In Japan, we sometimes enjoy making it outside when we have snow. It looks like a small sculpture. The eyes are made of nanten fruits (nandia) and the ears are made of yuzuriha leaves. Yuki usagi can be displayed outside or placed on a tray for viewing.

日本では雪が降ると雪うさぎを作る楽しみがありますね。雪うさぎはまるで小さな彫刻のよう。目には南天、耳にはユズリハ。外に飾ったり、お盆に載せて眺めたり。
